Stedelijk Studies Launch / Issue #1: Collecting Geographies

Stedelijk Studies is a high-quality peer-reviewed academic journal, which publishes research related to the Stedelijk collection and on institutional history, museum studies (think of education and conservation practice) and current topics in the field of visual arts and design.

The journal aims to reach an international audience of (young) academics, art professionals, artists, and others interested in the field of contemporary art theory. It is our goal to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed academic research focusing on the Stedelijk collection and its institutional history, museum studies (e.g. education and conservation practice), and current topics in the field of visual arts and design.

Besides two themed issues that will be published twice yearly, in the spring and fall, new articles will appear continuously throughout the year.
